Be Kind

For the past few weeks, a colleague of mine has been making a lot of complaints to my boss, some of which also happens to touch my work area.   This leads me to thinking how some people will try to belittle others in their efforts to move ahead.    Is it really necessary?  Aren’t we all just working for the good of the company?   If there is any problem, why can’t it be discussed and resolved among ourselves?

No wonder, some people said that a colleague can never be your friend and don’t ever confide in your colleague as he or she may betray you one day.

How then can we have find true friends when we don’t trust each other?  If only everyone would just be kind and compassionate and think how their actions could affect another person, I think we will find our respective niche area and help each other to work for the better of the company.

Motivational Song - "Fireworks"

When I first listened to the song, "Fireworks" by Katie Perry, I dismissed it as just another pop song by a popular artiste.  But after listening closely to the lyrics, I discovered that it is actually a motivational song that you can give to a friend who might be feeling down and lost.   The song has a message of celebration and hope to inspire them to get back up on their feet.

Check out the meaningful lyrics of the song below:-

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting throught the wind
Wanting to start again

Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards
One blow from caving in

Do you ever feel already buried deep
Six feet under scream
But no one seems to hear a thing

Do you know that there's still a chance for you
Cause there's a spark in you

You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gunna leave 'em fallin' down-own-own

You don't have to feel like a waste of space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road

Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow
And when it's time, you'll know

You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gonna leave 'em all in awe-awe-awe"

Clear Directions

Lesson for the day - Clear directions need to be given to avoid being lost.
